Abstract:

WRI was made the topic of a case study used by the George Washington University and Public Management for its annual case competition. The case highlights non-profit management issues, and strategic issues underlying environmental partnerships between private sector firms and NGOs. It also analyzes the institutional context of this sustainable development policy research organization, its evolution from think-tank to "do-tank" using "co-opetition" strategies, and its education, international, and information systems features.
